Gardening Site- 8 “Expectations” From A Gardening Site!

If you can have web sites dedicated to other subjects of interest, then why not one exclusively for gardening? Well, you have not just one, but many sites centering round this topic! A typical gardening site is like an online library that is open for 24 hours, 7 days a week! It also doubles as a shopping mall!

Now, what are all the things that one can expect to find on a gardening site?

(1) The basic function of a gardening site is to give guidance regarding successful growth of plants. These plants may be found in the tropics, the Mediterranean region, desert areas–just about anywhere. And they can be of all kinds! There is also information related to gardening materials and tools, seasons, weather conditions, and so much more. The web site may begin by offering basic information, but gradually expand to more advanced knowledge over time.

To illustrate with an example, an extremely popular and well-designed web site started off by giving access to gardening directories and tools. Today, it has an exlusive online shopping section offering mail order catalogs, gifts, gardening supplies and so on. Some of the other things on display are photographs related to gardens and gardening, a complete glossary, forums for sharing views and a section where experts answer questions put forward by visitors.

(2) Online shopping for gardening supplies is also possible since some renowned web sites concentrate only on selling.

(3) There are some gardening enthusiasts who have started “mom and pop” web sites, so that they can reach out to equally passionate “garden lovers”!

(4) Depending on how many people visit a particular gardening site, the more information that is added on and the more varied the resources offered. Thus, the web site grows in depth!

(5) True, some sites are interested only in one particular type of flower or plant; but there are others that focus on a variety ranging from world-class roses that have gone up for awards, to the rare and exotic orchids.

(6) A gardening site can also turn personal by allowing visitors to sign up and become members. Novices and experts can interact with one another, asking for, and receiving information concerning gardening. It is like a two-way feedback system!

Blogging is also a pastime on these sites. Interested participants share information regarding type of seeds sown, time of sowing, brand of fertilizer used, how many times, etc. Pictures of various plants are also displayed. These may have been grown successfully, or may have failed to grow properly. In fact, personal blogs have become such a craze, benefitting both beginners and veterans alike, that they are expected to grow in number during the coming years.

(7) There is another kind of gardening site called the “gardening blog”, also known as “web log”. This represents an online journal concentrating on gardening. Members maintain their gardening records on such a site. This enhances their learning and enjoyment!

(8) If a gardening site attains popularity among the general public, it encourages a sense of camaraderie and community feeling. Hence, newcomers to the site as well as older members feel inspired to participate in various ways.

Many Real Estate Professionals Have Blogs That They Use to Gain Readers

Hopefully generate leads, both without and within the real estate community. While this type of social networking can be a good way to get your voice heard out there, you must be cognizant of the fact that it is competing with thousands of other blogs out there that are about real estate and some of which are probably produced by some pretty compelling writers. So how can you make your blog stand out?

This article presupposes that you care about real estate or at least your little chunk of it. You must love to write about something to do with this industry if you want to attract the attention of people who are also interested in the subject for can visit  to www.feed-reader-links.com. If you don’t care, you’ll get bored and this will reflect in your writing, which will become dull and plodding. The writing of people passionately interested in what they do shines, even beyond spelling and grammar (although these are important and I’ll address them below).

This doesn’t mean that all of your posts have to be about idyllic homes with flowers and chirping birds, in fact, people like a good spice of negativity with their positive soup, so don’t be afraid to rant on occasion. Just don’t make it all the time. Your readers will pay more attention to your rants if you pop them in with more positive blog entries.

Your spelling and grammar should be good. Not exceptional – readers will forgive the occasional run-on sentence and typographical errors – but well. Spelling is a means to an end – it provides flow and rhythm to your writing so that people’s minds aren’t stopping and trying to unravel a poorly spelled word or a sentence that doesn’t accurately convey what you mean it to. It does matter – get a good spelling/grammar checker. It won’t be perfect, but it will help.

Sometimes it helps to have a niche. Are you especially interested in renovating leaky condos? Write about it. Do you enjoy the process of negotiating sales? Write! You may not be writing for people who share your love for the thing that you do, but you will get people who are interested in the information that you drop while enthusing about your chosen area. It will also enable you to create a unique blog that focuses on real estate, but on specific parts of real estate that other people are interested in.
Connect your niche with the world outside. People aren’t as interested in how something benefits you unless you can show how it benefits them. If your passion is the renovation of leaky condos, show people what they should know in order to avoid a leaky condo or buying one as an investment. Show them how to do something, save money or improve their lives and they will read for can visit to www.rss-announcers.com. They may never, ever put your advice into practice, but they will keep coming back, hoping that you have the key to their next success.

Listen to your readers. People love to be famous, even a little bit. If “UberRealtor” posts an interesting point or opposing view to one of your posts, take him/her up on it and write a post about it, if it’s interesting enough. And this isn’t an “UberRealtor is sooo stupid for saying X” thing; you really want to get into UberRealtor’s reasoning. Take what they say and run with it. Agree or disagree. If it’s a subject of interest, people will have all sorts of opinions on it. Plus, a reasoned response to both criticism and agreement will mark you as a blogger to watch.

A good realtor blog is one that delivers what it promises to readers. It focuses on a particular subject and runs with it, shows people the connections between its subjects and the outside world and ultimately delivers to readers interesting content on its subject. Top blogs don’t tell people how great their writers are and why they should do business with the writer- they give the readers a reason to.

Blogging Impact

April 29th, 2008 admin No comments

The Unique Art Of Blogging

Again, content allow would need a partner to become a favorite among the sites visited by most people, and design and presentation is one that racks in visitors to religiously follow them. Themes provide the necessary aura that makes them worth the time to visit, although this is only a minimal impact towards potential visitors.

While some may consider changing the overall layout as secondary, the impact from these uniquely designed themes are really a known part for complementing the content specializing in a various field. Probloggers who would professionalize in blogging would use these themes as a certain value add-on for people who buy blogs that are well-maintained and optimized.

Blogging may become redundant at some point when the topics would reach the point of becoming closely relevant to one another. This is only normal since technically, personal opinions stemming from stored knowledge can be compared to a puzzle that is reaching completion.

However, it is also the duty of a problogger to do the necessary research work to cover new trends and updates regarding the genre to which he has chosen to focus and specialize in. Especially in the fields of business, current events and technology, these are fast-changing categories that need to refer to the current event mediums such as news and magazines which give out the latest from each genre.

Research is a minimal effort that people can do. It does not need to be sophisticated but merely explained in a manner to which they are understood to support personal blog entries made. Besides, probloggers are known to be reliable and responsible, hence information that they place for readers to see is always something that people will believe in and go back to when the need for such arises.

Problogging is more than purely making entries based on research and available content online. Stored knowledge from past articles and compositions are also something that will be useful since unique terminologies and experiences are what make blogs different and unique from others.

The level of expectancy from veteran probloggers is higher compared to the normal and upcoming blog experts. For one, content is expected to be reliable and informative, usually because certain citations and reference links will be used to point towards such entries.

Probloggers would usually know how and what content to compose. It is not supposed to be repetitive in nature rather like a chain of sorts to be able to determine the gradual connection of one blog entry from another. For some bloggers, placing such compositions in one setting may not be feasible since not all readers are avid to be able to read these entries immediately.

Some would slice them in parts, sort of like a sequel so that when time comes to looking back is concerned; people would know what part or topic under discussion is being referred to, rather than the whole entry which to some may be a waste of time. Hence it would be best to take on it seriously. It may become really disappointing at times of failure to attain endeavors such as blogging.

Example Blogging

Why you should use blogs and RSS feeds

Blogs and RSS feeds are great marketing tools! Now, if you’re like me, you’re probably scratching your head and saying, “Wonderful, but what in the world is a blog, and what the heck does an RSS feed?” Let’s make it quick and simple.

A blog is basically a journal or diary that is kept online. It changes every day as you add new content. An RSS feed is a little more involved.  RSS (usually referred to as Really Simple Syndication) is a means to publish regular updates to web content. The content itself is known as the feed.  In other words, RSS feeds are a great way to get information that changes often (for example blogs or even news headlines) out on the web to an amazingly large audience.

Now to answer the question, why should you use blogs and RSS feeds?  Numbers, numbers, numbers! Let’s think about it. When more people view your site, you will make more sales – obviously. Of course, the trick is to get them to your site. While you sit there reading this article, there are search engines silently exploring cyberspace for new or updated web content.  Aha! When you update your blog and use RSS feeds, your new information will be noticed by these tireless search engines and published across the World Wide Web. Hey, it’s free advertising, right?

Anita was excited! She finally had her own website and an ebook on the market. Her enthusiasm was a source of amusement to her friends and family. Every lull in a conversation was an opening for Anita to discuss her new enterprise. Though Anita netted a lot of good natured eye-rolling and teasing, she knew they were all proud of her. It wasn’t long before Anita’s enthusiasm began to wane. After all, what good was an ebook if nobody bought it?

She’d tried buying email lists and sending advertisements out, but it didn’t seem to earn any profit.  Why?  Spam filters, like virtual pac-men, were gobbling up the emails that Anita sent.  In reality very few were ever even opened.

Have you, like Anita, been frustrated at the lack of web traffic your site receives?  Follow the example of hugely successful sites like Yahoo!, CNET, ABC News, and Amazon. Get on the RSS feed band wagon and share in the success. Join the masses of bloggers who are posting personal and professional blogs. Write your way to success.

Don’t be left behind with an empty bank account, when you could be enjoying huge profits!<br><br>If this sounds too easy for such an intricately technological subject, that’s because there are people who have done the hard work for you. In fact, blogging and RSS feeds have been made simple for even the most technologically challenged.

Need proof? Go to <a href=”http://www.effective-info.com”>Internet marketing online</a>  You’ll discover a simple plan to incorporate blogging and RSS feeds into your marketing plan.  You’ll discover a brand new marketing technique that will astound you with the increase in profit your website will net.

Master Blogging

April 29th, 2008 admin No comments

Pageant of the Masters

The Pageant of the Masters is a rare theatrical event, held every summer in Laguna Beach, explains art journalist Liz Goldner in her Contemporary Art Dialogue website/blog.
The Pageant draws hundreds of thousands of spectators to its outdoor amphitheatre, the blog continues. Yet many people who attend know little about its origins or about the massive preparations and 60,000 volunteer hours that go into each production.
The live multi-media show is based on the centuries old art form, “Tableaux Vivants” or “Living Pictures,” displaying the diversity of art from around the world and throughout history, utilizing live models, lavish costumes and sets and dramatic lighting.
Tableaux Vivants began in the Middle Ages and were featured in churches, royal weddings and coronations. The art form was especially popular in the 19th century with models often posing in the buff.
While the art style was popular for several centuries, the Laguna Beach Pageant is one of few remaining productions of this genre – anywhere in the world.
Each Pageant production involves 500 volunteers and 6,000 volunteer hours. As the Pageant of the Masters blog page says, “Backstage, models sit nearly motionless for long periods as volunteer artists apply thick overly theatrical face and body make-up. Awareness of the angle of the model’s face and body in the completed Living Picture is an essential factor of make-up application.
“When a model faces sideways, the face is often painted in two tones to create the illusion of shadows. Lips, eyebrows, cheekbones are highlighted so dramatically and thickly that models take on the appearance of mannequins.”
The blog page continues, “Moments before each Living Picture is shown at the Pageant of the Masters, models seat themselves in the stage set: workers adjust the props, sometimes adding accessories to clothing and shoes for authenticity; and models are often strapped into their places. The set revolves onto the stage as lights go up and themed music plays, revealing a large proscenium size artwork, many times bigger than the original (world famous) painting or sculpture, and clearly visible from the last row in the Irvine Bowl – and from High Drive – up the road in Laguna Beach.”
Liz Goldner further explains that the Laguna Beach Pageant of the Masters was launched in 1933 when a local artist/performer dressed residents in costumes and seated them behind a frame. Within a few years, the production took on a more professional tone, eventually evolving into themed productions with live performers.
This year’s “Eat, Drink & Be Merry” is a 90-minutes show, running July 7th through August 31st. It includes festive works by 17th century Dutch artist, Jan Steen, 19th century pieces by Americans Frederic Remington and Reginald Marsh and paintings by several modern and contemporary artists, including “Coffee and Donuts” by local Laguna Beach artist, Scott Moore.

About the Author

Liz Goldner’s articles on art span the breadth and depth of works shown in Southern California, with references to national and international art pieces. Her stories, reviews and web pages bring to life painters, sculptors and performance artists; gallery and museum directors; community leaders, entrepreneurs and celebrities. She is creator/writer of the website/blog: http://www.contemporary-art-dialogue.com.

Blogging Results

April 29th, 2008 admin No comments

How To Achieve Success With A Blog

Achieving success with an online business blog takes more drive than talent.  Blogging to make money online will require more of your commitment and determination than it will your knowledge and skills.  Your dedication is what will make your blog site popular and successful.

Take a look at the most popular blogs on line and you will notice that they are the ones that are updated frequently with new and fresh content.  They are the ones that have the most articles.  All of which means that it took a lot of time to prepare, write and deliver good copy.

How much time do you think it would take to plan and get your creative juices to the point necessary to turn out a successful blog?  To answer this question, let us take a look at what is involved.

First, on the list are your Goals and Objectives.

Remember your goals should be specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and tractable.  You want to keep them near you as you develop your blog content.

Having goals is important to keeping you motivated and persistent as you write your blog.  Remember the dedication involved is going to require your doing a lot of homework and planning in developing your script.  It is important here for you to be challenged and motivated or the best is not going to happen.

Continually challenge yourself, and overcoming these challenges will move you closer to your goals.  Your goals will provide the focus and direction along with the burning desire to succeed.

Your goals should stretch you.  Think big and you’ll accomplish big but if you think small …nothing will happen!

Utilize the Power of Positive Thinking.

It will take time for you to realize the Blogging results you seek.  It will not happen overnight and therefore you need to think and stay positive throughout the journey.  Do not get side tracked or discouraged by negative thoughts.  You need to stay positive to be successful.

Negative thinking will only clutter your mind, fog your thinking, and dampen your spirit.  In order to win and be successful you must stay positive.

Along the way there will be mistakes but do not let that discourage you.   Learn from your mistakes and push forward.  Always think positively and remember to add just a dash of realism!

If you focus on your objectives and plan to meet them you will find that success will follow.  You will be making your own luck as a result of the careful preparation and proper mindset.

Achieving success with a home business blog is about persistence.  If you possess the will and determination then you possess the key to success in making yours the best blog site in your niche. Once you have achieved that you will achieve the status you are seeking.

Good Luck!

Blogging Pets

Pet Finder – the Easiest Way to Find a Lost Pet

During the terrible destruction of hurricane Katrina and other storms over the past year, thousands of animals were separated from their families during evacuation efforts. This was either because evacuations are set up primarily to save the lives of humans, not their pets. Secondly, even if families evacuated on their own and could have brought their pets, many might not have been able to find them during the chaos of natural disasters.

In response to this important need to reunite families with their pets, Petfinder.com and the Maddie Fund formed the Animal Emergency Response Network (AERN). According to the AERN website, 3,200 animals caught in the destruction of hurricanes Katrina and Rita were united with their families, or were relocated to new homes, thanks to the AERN database.

What is Petfinder.com?

Any organization that would do such wonderful work to save animals across the country deserves recognition. So what is Petfinder.com? Petfinder is a wonderful service that provides an online database of animals across the North American continent which need a home. It includes, and is supported by, over 10,000 animal shelters and adoptive organizations. Petfinder essentially serves as a central database for the country’s lonely and homeless pets, and a wonderful method for families who have loving homes for such pets to easily find a perfect pet that would fit into the family.

Surprisingly (because the website is so professionally done, and the operation is so well managed), Petfinder is a non-profit organization that consists of professionals and members of the public who volunteer their time to update and maintain this database. This is proof that there are some very good people out there.

How Does the Petfinder Database Work?

The Petfinder database provides searches through thousands of pet listings using various criteria including:

  • Animal
  • Breed
  • Age
  • Size
  • Gender
  • Location

And an advanced search section provides searches based on:

  • Animal type and breed
  • Age
  • Pets with a certain name
  • Only particular pets such as special needs, declawed, or only those recommended for children.

The results will return the name (if appropriate), the breed, gender, and even a photo. Clicking on the link will take you to the shelter or rescue organization which listed it.

A Pet Portrait Featuring Your Pet’s Name

If you are an organization considering listing a pet, one very unique way to provide an image of the pet that will really get noticed is to have a portrait done of the pet’s photo. Not only would this attract a great deal of attention, but you could also offer the portrait as a bonus to the lucky family who takes this animal back to a loving home. Pet portraits are sweeping the country as a very popular form of recognizing how pets mean to families.

The best pet portraits in the country are created by artist Nikky Hughes of Los Angeles. Nikky was classically trained at the Mission Renaissance art school, and she focuses on capturing not only the beauty, but the unique character of each animal. She will accept photos through the mail of pets, and then create stunning portraits from those pictures. Pet portraits are ideal because they can be done from a photo (as apposed to getting the pet to “pose” at a studio.)

Other Options at Petfinder

Petfinder provides other great services at their website, including a monthly newsletter that you can receive monthly. Just click the “Sigh up today!” button on the lower left part of the web page. There is also a search box to find Animal Welfare groups in your local area. There is an online library where you can learn more about the various breeds, a section where you can learn how you can personally volunteer locally to help pets, a training section with dog and cat training videos, lost and found pet classifieds, a blog and forum community, a shop where you can find animal-oriented gear, and even a “fun” section for kids where there are free Ecards and some fun games.

Petfinder isn’t only a website where you can go to find a pet, it’s a place that does a great service for communities across the continent, and it’s also a website you can go just to spend some time and take part in activities that are available for animal lovers from around the world.

Pros And Cons Of Staying Current On Health News Through A Health And Fitness Blog

If you are like millions of others living and working throughout the world, you are probably concerned with how to make the most of your days on this earth. We have done an excellent job of improving our odds for a longer life, but keeping up with the changing trends in health news can be a daunting task. How do you find out about the latest reputable research and advice that could set you well on your way to 100? Many choose a health and fitness blog, because blogs are usually updated daily with useful content that one can dissect and incorporate in their day-to-day journey towards a healthier existence.

But you must be careful if you are going to follow the latest developments in health news through a health and fitness blog. There are many reasons to do it, and there are many reasons not to. It all depends on how analytical you are, and on each of the following pros and cons:

Pro – keeping your body apprised of new research and developments in the health news community: Face it. Advice and recommendations are constantly changing to conform to advanced research. While it may seem fishy how often the health news changes, keep in mind we are living longer today for a reason. In many cases, the things we used to think nothing of are now highly important. No one ever talked about the dangers of smoking when cigarettes first came along. Years down the road, it has been recognized as the true killer that it is. It’s important for you to stay vigilant and do your best to learn of the changing trends.

Con – keeping up with how quickly health news changes: While staying on top of things is often good, it can also be cause for concern. It can frustrate you to the point that you give up entirely, or it can lead you down certain paths before medical research has had the opportunity to verify validity. You know counting calories works. You know where to find good diets. Stay conservative until you have reason to believe that a piece of research is genuine and authenticated.

Con – trusting the credentials of health and fitness blog experts: There are a lot of horrible health and fitness blog writers out there who will lead you astray and give you the kind of poor information that might negatively influence your health. You should not listen to them. But you should always research the person(s) providing you with health news and advice.

Eventually, you must take the health news available to you through a reputable health and fitness blog and figure out how to use it in your life. And you mustn’t wait because each day you are not leading healthy is a day you could lose later down the road. Listen well and make good decisions. Your body will respond accordingly.
